Recently, our Lift For Life powerlifters stepped on stage and showcased their growing strengths at the USAPL Illinois “Teen Titan Take Over” hosted by the McKendree powerlifting team. Our lifters showed up and showed out with a 91% success rate; 4 lifters podiumed, and all of them hit new PR’s (personal records). These kids have proven not only their physical strength but mental strength as well; we could not be any prouder of them here at the Lift For Life Gym.

Coach Max, Coach Jeff, and help from the McKendree powerlifting team made this meet a flying success, with smooth transitions from lifter to lifter without missing a beat. We couldn’t be more thankful for the guidance provided by Bradly Bechel, the head coach of the McKendree powerlifting team. After the meet, the kids were invited to a “Futures Camp” that provided insight into the techniques of powerlifting, followed by scholarship opportunities and the power of consistency.
