Lift For Life Gym was founded out of a vision that saw a desperate need for a safe place for St. Louis youth and the untapped potential of the kids in the neighborhood.  Since then Lift For Life Gym has been a constant in the lives of thousands of children living in the most under-served parts of St. Louis giving them a safe place to participate in fitness, sports, recreational and educational programs.

Lift For Life Gym cordially invites you to our ninth annual Raising the Bar for Lift For Life Gym event, held live at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 3rd. This year, to keep our guests and community members safe, the gala will be held live virtually via an online video platform streamed from our website. The night will still be one to remember, with plenty of opportunities to learn about how LFLG continues to make an impact in the community and opportunities to help support our mission. FAQ

What is a virtual gala? For everyone’s health and safety, instead of gathering for a large in-person celebration, we are hosting a one-hour live program online. We will be featuring remarks by Lift For Life Gym’s supporters and employees, videos, a Fund-A-Need, and online auction. You will be able to watch from the comfort of your home, on an online video platform streamed from our website and youtube channel.  The gala will be streamed live which means you will not be able to rewind or fast forward, so we encourage you to login early to “check your tech” and watch our pre-show featuring music by the Saint Boogie Brass Band, before the program begins promptly at 7pm.

Is there a fee to watch the program? No, it is free to join in and watch the program.  We hope you’ll be moved during our program and your feelings of inspiration will turn into action by making a gift of support at your own level.

How do I tune into the Live Event? The live video will be posted to our youtube channel (https://tinyurl.com/lflgyoutube), our online auction site (https://raisingthebar.givesmart.com) and the homepage of our website.  Reminder emails will be sent the week of the event that will include a link to the page. You simply need internet access and a screen (preferably a computer or TV) to watch the program.

How do I watch the event on my TV? Here are some quick instructions on hooking up your computer to your tv to enjoy the event.  Click here for helpful tips.

Will you be able to see me? No, video will not be available for attendees.

What should I wear?  It is entirely up to you! If you’d like, you can dress up in cocktail attire, as if this was an in-person event, or you can enjoy the opportunity to participate in the event in your pajamas (or something in between).

How do I pledge in the Fund-A-Need?  Attendees will notice a QR code at the top of the screen during the event. To make a commitment to support Lift For Life Gym you just need to scan the QR code or visit the website at https://raisingthebar.givesmart.com. There you can register and make your donation or bid on various auction items available.

Where do funds go? Funds will support Lift For Life Gym’s many programs for our youth members. They will support our efforts to reach kids however we are able, whether that is virtually or in-person.

Will there be a recording available? Yes! We will post a link after the event and email the link to all of our supporters.
